Some people, after spending considerable time in the realms of Sumu, become
like this. Tired of the material existence, but still unable to let go of
Sumu they slowly start to fade away, yet they don't ever truly leave this
realm and pass on to the next. After the transformation is complete, they
are very much like ghosts, but there are differences. They have a bit more
control over their immaterial state, and can communicate with living things.
